Senior Speech and Language Therapist

Alison Kwok

Alison graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Speech Pathology. She is registered with the Allied Health Professional Council (AHPC) and is a member of the Speech and Language Therapy Singapore (SALTS) Association. She has been a practicing clinician since 2016.

Alison has worked with both adults and children in a variety of settings, including acute and community hospitals, early intervention centres and outpatient multidisciplinary clinics in the public and private sectors. Alison is experienced in assessing and providing intervention for a range of conditions, including developmental language disorders, speech sound disorders, autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder, feeding difficulties, global developmental delay and social communication difficulties.

Alison believes that a huge part of early intervention is empowering parents to support their children's development. She provides parent coaching within her sessions and has run several workshops to equip families with strategies to further her clients’ speech and language development. As a speech and language therapist, Alison strives to promote meaningful interactions by ensuring that her sessions are fun and individualized to her clients' abilities and needs.

Over the years, Alison has developed a special interest in the assessment and treatment of speech sound disorders. Due to her prior experience in the early intervention setting, she particularly enjoys working with children under 7 years old. Alison is committed to furthering her skills to provide the best care possible for her clients. She also has experience in supervising new graduates and final year Speech Pathology students from the NUS Masters course.

Outside of work, Alison enjoys playing the piano and exploring new food places with her friends and family.
