Aloha! I’m Aisyah, a Speech Therapist, who went overseas to complete her Bachelor Degree of Speech Pathology (with Honours) in Melbourne when there was no Bachelor’s degree available in Singapore. Prior to my degree studies, my interaction and observation of my pioneer Speech Therapists in Singapore inspired me to pursue this meaningful profession.

The clinical attachments overseas and working experience locally with clients and their families of various culture and religion have convinced me that my career path as a Speech Pathologist is a pursuit that is one that is not only purposeful but also has a significant impact to me and my community. I derive the greatest satisfaction when my clients make progress whether big or small.

I have been a Speech Therapist for more than 10 years working in both private and public sectors. I believe that my strength lies in my unsurpassed commitment to be of service to humankind and to do the best that I can to help them improve their quality of life despite their communicative and swallowing challenges.

From my varied exposure to people facing such challenges, my area of interest lies with clients with communication difficulties in both adult and children specifically those with speech difficulties. Similarly, I’ve always been intrigued with neuroscience and the role that it plays in communication.

In my free time, I love to play and eat with my 3 children, read a book, listening to music, cycling and going for long walks. Please do not hesitate to ask me any questions whether big or small. I will always do my best to be a partner in your child’s learning journey.
