Danielle Buckley

Principal Coaching Psychologist

Danielle Buckley

Danielle is an Australian Registered and Coaching Psychologist. Danielle is passionate about helping people learn how to improve the way they think, feel and behave by learning about their mental health and wellbeing.

Danielle has been delivering evidence-based coaching and counselling for the last 20 years. She is driven by helping people discover how to invest in their mental health and wellbeing. Danielle believes therapy is for everyone. She approaches her sessions from a Cognitive Behavioural Framework and incorporates Positive and Coaching Psychology elements into the way she works.

Danielle has worked with many corporate clients across Australia, Europe, Asia and the United Kingdom. In Hong Kong she ran her own private practice within a top tier law firm helping working professionals improve their performance and overcome any setbacks. She has seen many working professionals who struggle finding a balance between work, stress and relationships.

Danielle works with clients who experience:

  • Low moods and depression
  • Anxiety and worry
  • Confidence and self-esteem issues
  • Relationship and friendship issues
  • Managing stress and anger
  • Adjustment issues and major life changes including relocations
  • Grief and loss

Danielle has partnered with many organisations to deliver exceptional corporate speaking, mental health training and coaching programs. Danielle’s focus with organisations is to help them de-stigmatise mental health, lower stress levels and improve performance. Danielle is interested in mental health policy and ensuring workplaces and communities provide access to best practice mental health services, she believe there is no health without mental health.

The following are her key strengths and skills:

  • 20 years of evidence based counselling and coaching experience, informed by cognitive behavioural theory and positive psychology
  • 19 years of designing and developing mental health, positive psychology and wellbeing programs to improve prevention and early intervention of young adults and adults
  • 12 years partnering with the NSW Business Chamber to be the Consultant Psychologist on Skillsroad, Australia's largest youth career website, developed to support young people to become life long learners and move intentionally from school to work
  • Experience working with schools in Sydney and NSW to develop positive education practices working with students, teachers and the wider community
  • Selected to present best practice projects at the World Congress of Positive Psychology 2015 and 2019 on your wellbeing programs

“For many of us, we were taught how to be physically healthy (what to eat, how to move etc), but only a precious few have had the privilege of learning how to be mentally healthy (how to think more effectively, live more fully), I want to change that” Danielle.
